Jordan was adopted from the Rondout Valley Animals for Adoption in Accord, NY under the assumption that he was deaf. He was beautiful - a little white speckled dog with blue eyes. I could not resist. I met him at Adoption Sunday on June 14, 2009 and could not get him out of my head. We attended the RVAA open house the following weekend, and on July 1, 2009, it became official. Jordy was mine. And guess what? NOT DEAF! After a round of antibiotics following his neuter, he seemed to be fully cured of any hearing impairments. Open up a box of dog cookies - trust me - he'll hear it! To our surprise, Jordan actually grew larger than Barley. While they both weigh 95 pounds, Jordan is a tall drink of water!

Barley was adopted from the Middletown Humane Society on July 25, 2008. They told us he was a German Shephard/Pitt Bull mix - and he was 10 weeks old. He weighed 23 pounds when we brought him home. Two years later, he weighs in at 95 pounds! He now has a brother, Jordan, to keep him company.
